How to use a meterd dose inhaler
Testing your inhaler: before using your inhaler for the first time, or if it has not been used for a week or more, “test fire” it i.e release one puff into the air.
1. Shake the inhaler well and remove the cap.
2. Breathe out away from the inhaler.
3. Place the mouth peace in the mouth and close yore lips around it.
4. Start inspiration and at the same time press the canister down and continue to inhale deeply.
5. Remove the inhaler from the mouth, close the lips, holed the breath for about 10 seconds or as long as possible, then breathe out.
6- Wait for 30-60 seconds before taking another inhalation and repeat step 3 to 6 again.
Some times we need to use spacer with children and some patients who find it difficult to use inhaler because they have synchronization problem so sometimes we use spacer.
