Role of assistant pharmacist in dispensing promethazine hydrochloride elixir:
1. Elixirs should be stored in air tight containers to avoid the evaporation of alcohol.
2. Amber bottle containers (light resistant containers) should be used to guard deterioration of volatile oils.
3. This prescription is used as antihistaminic, anti-emetic and sedative.
4. Do not drive and do not work with sharp machine.
5. Keep away from children.
It should not be administered with alcohol or other CNS depressant drugs
